Hydrogen to decarbonize industry!
From the production of green hydrogen to industrial use – Hydrogen Campus Salzgitter
At the Wasserstoff Campus Salzgitter, a broad alliance from industry – Salzgitter AG, MAN Energy Solutions, Robert Bosch Elektronik, Alstom Transport Deutschland and WEVG Salzgitter – in collaboration with local government partners such as the office for regional development and the city of Salzgitter as well as the Allianz für die Region and the Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST, is researching and demonstrating the economically viable supply and use of hydrogen research and demonstrate the economically viable supply and use of hydrogen. This tour focuses on the transformation of factory systems towards green production.
We discuss hydrogen technologies along the entire value chain from production to use, with special focus on economic and ecological aspects.
A comprehensive exhibition at the campus sums up these results from the basics of hydrogen to the production of green hydrogen, its storage and as well as usage for a production facility for electronics. In this context the transformation of a Bosch production plant towards CO2-neutrality, energy-autarchy and energy-flexibility will be presented on-site.
